The usual Thursday Arts & Style sections were particularly bleak this morning (unless you want to know how well Martha Stewart is doing despite her stock travails). But there is still no shortage of news. UPI's Life & Mind Desk (now, there's a great title!) celebrates Philip Johnson; Australian awards are handed out (and not handed out); calls to save the Guthrie Theater are still sounding; the relationship between skateboarding and architecture is explored (by an architect and former skateboarder who invokes Vitruvius, Le Corbusier, Peter Eisenman.
